What is Encrypted Cliches?

Encrypted Clichés™ is a daily web-based word game where players decode a disguised phrase to uncover a familiar cliché, idiom, catchphrase, or saying. Each puzzle gives you an “encrypted” phrase built from synonyms, antonyms, or related meanings. You get 5 guesses, color-coded feedback, and optional hints when you’re stuck. For example: “Refrigerated Like A Pickle” → “Cool As A Cucumber.” This example is already used on the How to Play page and clearly demonstrates the core mechanic.
